SEND

Special Educational Needs and Disability

We believe that inclusion is about supporting all children, we believe that all children deserve the right to be fully supported and be equipped to fulfil their potential. Each class is assigned a Teaching Assistant and it is usually those Teaching Assistants that are assigned to providing additional SEN support on a one to one basis or within small groups to ensure their needs are met.  We also do our best to ensure that all children are able to access all the activities of the school.

Mrs Harris, the Special Needs coordinator (SENDCO)works with the teachers and teaching assistants to provide appropriate intervention programs to support children with their learning. She is there to help all children in school who may have a problem with their learning, it may be a long-term issue with specific learning difficulties or just needing short-term help in a particular area.  We will liaise with other outside agencies to ensure that a child's needs are met.
