Brampford Speke Church of England Primary School is looking for an experienced leader to work with us from 1st September 2021, following the departure of the current Head of School to another school in the federation. Brampford Speke is a small and friendly school with high expectations and levels of achievement. The school is part of the Exe Valley Federation, which comprises 6 local village schools and is led by John Jolliffe, the Executive Headteacher. The new Head of School will be working as part of the leadership team and will be able to share expertise and knowledge across the federation and support colleagues in other schools at all levels.

Our Christian ethos and heritage and community involvement are very important to us and the successful candidate should have a good understanding of the importance of developing the school’s ethos in line with the SIAMS inspection framework. Substantial experience of working in a Church School would be an advantage. The school’s last SIAMS inspection was in 2018 and the school was judged to be good, receiving a positive report from the inspector. The school was inspected by Ofsted in 2017 and was also judged to be good.
