JOB VACANCY FOR HEAD OF SCHOOL

Following the decision of Glynis Harris to step back from her role as the valued Head of School at Cheriton Fitzpaine, the Executive Headteacher and Governors wish to appoint a new Head of School to join the Federation Leadership Team from September 2020.

HEAD OF SCHOOL

From the 1st September there will be an opportunity for an experienced teacher and leader to take on responsibility for leading Cheriton Fitzpaine School.  The post-holder will be working with the Executive Head Teacher and Federation Leadership Team to provide leadership for the school and the Federation, so that it secures its success and continuous improvement, ensuring high quality education for all its children and the highest standards of learning and achievement in accordance with statutory requirements and the Federation Strategic Development Plan for 2016 to 2021 and beyond. This is an exciting time for the Federation as we consider the intent, implementation and impact of the curriculum and its impact on the learning and well-being of our children.

 

The post includes a regular teaching commitment, leading Collective Worship, attendance at Governors’ meetings and weekly Leadership Team meetings and managing some delegated funds for repairs and maintenance, curriculum development and resources. The Federation Business Manager will be able to support the new Head of School in financial and premises management Heads of School are also Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads, supporting the Executive Headteacher as DSL.

 

This is a permanent post from 1st September 2020 and the salary range is set at L2 to L6 [currently £42,093 to £46,457 as at February 2020]. Applications for flexible working hours will be considered.
