1:1 Teaching assistant - Thorverton
Applications are welcome from well-motivated people who would be able to work effectively as part of a team, whilst also using their own initiative to work at Thorverton and Brampford Speke Schools. This post is to cover a maternity leave from Monday 4th January 2020 to Sunday 3rd January 2021 or the postholder’s return if earlier.
We would like to recruit an experienced Teaching Assistant to work with a delightful Reception child at Thorverton School. This post involves supporting the child’s learning, ensuring that the curriculum is accessible and promoting social interaction. This is a part time post for 2.5 hours per day, Monday to Wednesday each week from 8.45am to 11.15am and 1.15pm to 3.45pm on Thursdays and Fridays.
We would also like to recruit an experienced Teaching Assistant to work with Class 2 at Brampford Speke School on Thursday and Friday mornings from 8.45am to 12.15pm. This post involves working with the class teacher to supporting children’s learning and lead intervention groups as needed. Class 2 comprise Year 2 and Year 3 children with a wide range of learning styles and needs.
The salary for this post is Grade C (£9.55 to £9.94 per hour depending on experience) term time only, but including non-pupil days (39 weeks per year).
